Turkey Burger on a Portobello

Turkey Burger on a Portobello 

Makes 4 Burgers

Ingredients:

1 lb extra-lean ground turkey (make sure to check fat content)

1/2 cup oatmeal, uncooked

1/4 low sodium chicken broth

1 tbsp olive oil

1 tbsp Dijon mustard

1 tsp lemon or lime juice

1 tbsp ketchup 1 or 2 cloves fresh pressed garlic

2 tsp onion powder

Directions:

In a larage bowl mix all the ingredients together.  Shape into 4 patties.  Cook them on the grill for 10 minutes or in the oven 10- 15 min.  I also love to use my George Forman Grill it's quick and easy.  

Serve by itself or top a large portobelllo mushroom with the burger to save calories and carbs.  Don't forget to add your veggies, lettuce & tomato.  

Sometimes I will grill the portobello on the grill/oven for 5 minutes to heat it up.
